Puerto Rico Itineraries

Puerto Rico has something to offer all different types of tourists on all types of schedules. Even on a visit of less than three days, a tourist can get a good feel of Puerto Rico's history, culture and natural beauty. To really take advantage of all that Puerto Rico has to offer, three weeks would be a good start.

A Long Weekend

In a three of four day weekend, you could take in much of what Puerto Rico has to offer. Spend one day strolling the streets and visiting the sites in Old San Juan. Be sure to leave a couple of hours to explore El Morro and enjoy an evening meal under the stars at one of Old San Juan's outdoor cafes. One day could be spent hiking the trails and frolicking in the waterfalls of The Caribbean National Forest. The third day could be spent relaxing on one of San Juan's white sand beaches with an evening at one of Isla Verde's hot nightclubs.

A Week Away

Due to the close proximity of all of Puerto Rico's attractions, a week gives you ample time to hit the highlights. The first three days can be spent as above on the three day tour of San Juan sites. A day trip to Arecibo Observatory and Rio Camuy Cave Park on the western part of the island would make a great fourth day. Three days exploring the beaches and underwater sites of the eastern islands of Vieques and Culebra.

A Long Holiday

Three weeks or more in Puerto Rico would give a visitor ample time to explore all the fascinating wonders that have drawn tourists to to this enchanting island for decades. In a longer holiday, be sure to add visits to Ponce, Rincon and San German. For the more adventurous a 3 day trip to Mona Island for scuba diving and camping.
